It started with one venue – The Wildwood Inn, an intimate, French-inspired boutique hotel tucked away in Denton, Texas. Inspired by the many love stories they witnessed on the property, founders Keith and Sarah Walters began expanding their family business, transforming more spaces into wow-worthy wedding venues. Fast-forward 17 years: Walters Wedding Estates now boasts a collection of 37 venues across Texas and Georgia. From wide-open fields to lavish interiors, each one of them offers something different to soon-to-weds – plus a team of dedicated Wedding Specialists and Planners who know the ins and outs of the business.
This year, several new venues joined the Walters Wedding Estates collection, offering couples even more options when it comes to landscape, decor, and on-property features. Here, we’ll share some of the most exciting updates and coming-soon venues from Walters Wedding Estates – and the many swoon-worthy features to look forward to. So if you’re in the middle of planning your nuptials and finding your perfect wedding venue in Texas and beyond, consider the spaces below.
Perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Travis and enveloped by lush greenery, The Laiken Resort is a nature-inspired, modern wedding venue in Texas Hill Country. Out-of-town guests are welcome to stay at one of the well-appointed on-site villas, which adds to the convenience factor and makes it easy to turn your wedding day into a wedding weekend with loved ones. You can get ready in your suite before making your way to the outdoor ceremony site, which is positioned to make the most of the surrounding views. Each of the two reception spaces, Lantana Lookout and Laurelwood, boast floor-to-ceiling windows that bring the outdoors in. A neutral color palette, high exposed-beam ceilings, and modern fixtures offer an understated blank slate for the reception of your dreams.

If you’ve always envisioned saying your “I dos” on a scenic rooftop, The Terrace at Highland Lakes might just be the perfect location for your big day. Why? For starters, it sits three stories high, offering an ideal vantage point for taking in the natural landscape. The Terrace is encased with glass railing, which means you and your guests will be treated to clear and unobstructed views of Lake Travis. It’s also covered – allowing for a stress-free celebration, rain or shine. Exchange your vows in front of a thoughtfully designed wooden pergola, and head to the adjacent indoor banquet hall for a reception your nearest and dearest won’t soon forget.
Arrowhead Hill’s quietude and natural beauty make this Walters Wedding Estates venue an ideal fit if you’re looking for something picturesque yet relaxed. The endless expanse of sky, wide-open fields, and lush greenery have a way of drawing you in and making you feel completely at peace. Your ceremony will begin at the on-site chapel – an airy, light-filled space boasting white walls and light-wood flooring. You and yours can ring the chapel bells before making your way to the reception venue through a set of oversized barn doors. Inside, a modern-and-open space will welcome you and your guests to dance the night away before retreating to one of the several beautifully curated cottages on-site. (Alternatively, you can stay connected to the outdoors by hosting your reception inside the permanent outdoor tent!)
Balancing a modern aesthetic with a bright-and-airy storybook feel, Hayes Hollow gives you the best of both worlds – especially if your taste leans on the contemporary side. The on-site chapel is intimate and elegant. Gorgeous foliage peeks through tall bay windows – the backdrop to your blissful “I dos.” This clean look extends through the reception space. Globe-shaped bronze chandeliers hang from the ceiling, and windows punctuate the crisp-white walls, offering little glimpses into the outside nature. What’s more, an indoor-outdoor bar leads to an open-air patio space. Dress the venue up to suit your vision or let its pared-back color palette and simple-but-striking architectural lines shine.
Located on the iconic The Olana Estate, The Olana Design Center is home to two venues: the Jolie Room and the Versailles Room. Both spaces offer a fresh, traditional look. Think: gold-encrusted crystal chandeliers and European-inspired touches. Light-wood flooring and an overall neutral color palette allow for a dramatic transformation; keep it simple, or exercise your maximalist imagination by building on the existing aesthetic. This applies to any celebration you decide to host here, beyond weddings – corporate events, bridal showers, glamorous galas, and so much more.
